SALT BATH DEPARTMENT (tool & die)

BATCH ATMOSPHERE DEPARTMENT (semi-production)

• AUSTENITIZING FURNACES:
  Controlled Atmosphere Furnaces with integral quench for neutral hardening, carburizing & carbonitriding
  up to 48" long & 3000 lb. capacity. All furnaces are equipped with carbon probes for programmable computer controlled atmosphere, heat recuperators, recirculated forced heating, automatic oil heating & cooling equipment, dual quench agitation, and a wide array of racks & fixtures. Furnaces line also features endothermic gas generators, and alkaline aqueous solution parts washers.

• TEMPERING FURNACES:
  Recirculating Gas-Fired Tempering Furnaces up to 48" long & 5000 lb. capacity

VACUUM FURNACE DEPARTMENT

• AUSTENITIZING FURNACES:
  2-Bar Vacuum Furnace, nitrogen atmosphere quench, programmable computer controlled with 3000 lb. capacity.

GENERAL HEAT TREAT DEPARTMENT

• AUSTENITIZING FURNACES:
  Homocarb Pit Carburizing Furnace 60" long
  Open-Fire Box Furnaces up to 108" long
• TEMPERING FURNACES:
  Electric box furnaces up to 72" long
  QUENCH TANKS:
  Agitated Oil, Water & Glycol Quench up to 5000 lb. capacity

FLUIDIZED BED DEPARTMENT

• AUSTENITIZING FURNACES:
  Fluidized Bed Pit Furnaces for neutral hardening and carburizing 60" deep.
• QUENCH TANKS:
  Agitated Oil & Brine Quenches, Salt Marquench & Ambient Fluidized Bed Quench.

FLAME HARDENING DEPARTMENT
Complete flame hardening department with various hardening heads, oil & water quenches and special fixtures.

CRYOGENICS DEPARTMENT
Cryogenic Deep Freeze units for stabilizing purposes capable of -100 to -300°F, up to 36" long.

STRAIGHTENING DEPARTMENT
Completely outfitted with Hand Straightening Devices, Pneumatic Peening Hammers, Torches, and Four Hydraulic Straightening Presses up to 200-ton capacity.

SAND BLAST DEPARTMENT
Wheelabrator Steel Grit Table Blasts to 6-foot dia.
Wheelabrator Steel Grit Tumble Blast
Vapor Blast Unit (aluminum oxide).

INSPECTION DEPARTMENT
Fully equipped with AFFRI & Versitron Advanced Digital Rockwell Testers, Clark Micro-Hardness Testers, several bench type Rockwell, Brinnell and superficial testing equipment as well as portable Rockwell and Brinnell testers for very large sections, with capability of testing on Ra, Rb, Rc, 15N, 30N, Vickers and Brinnell hardness scales. All equipment is certified by an outside source every 90 days, and internally checked and documented for accuracy every eight hours.

METALLURGICAL DEPARTMENT
Completely outfitted with equipment for cutting, polishing, etching and mounting steel samples for measuring and certifying effective case depth, as well as microscopic evaluation equipment with photographic printout capabilities for analyzing material grain structures and failure analysis.

MATERIALS HANDLING DEPARTMENT
Various Lift Trucks, Overhead and Jib Cranes up to 5-ton capacity.

DELIVERY DEPARTMENT
Fleet of 6 Delivery Stake Trucks on the road daily with 10 to 12 foot beds, up to 7,300 lb. capacity, and equipped with GPS tracking for quick-response customer service all across southeast Michigan.
